Thursday we had a very slow morning at the hotel. We slowly packed that morning and headed out of the Montreal toward Mont Tremblant. Aaron made a suggestion that we stop at a random town along the way. This is sentimental to me, because stopping at quaint towns along our drive is a favorite pastime of ours. We used to do it on all of our international trips! For this trip, Saint Sauvuer made the cut!

We stopped in Saint Sauveur on the way to Mont Tremblant, about halfway, and it was the most darling town. There are so many shops and eateries that reminded my of Quincy, California! We ate at Gio’s and ended up in the middle of a summer, mountain downpour. We hunkered down in Gio’s with ice cream until we could sprint to our car. Everything about the experience reminded my of living in the mountains.

We had our initial tour of Mont Tremblant and found the rest of our family. Quincy had his first oyster at Lucilles!

One of the perks of this trip has been a shared family space. We split breakfasts and dinners and planned to eat lunches out in town. The house that we booked is absolutely to die for! High windows. Natural light. Green landscapes. I cannot even tell you how delightful a large family space is for the cousins and siblings to get together. We are having a blast.

Fortunately, we brought mini-mahjong for the trip! My SIL and I spent our time getting whopped by our nieces. Even with the 2026 cards and the teeniest tiniest tiles possible, the teenagers kicked our booties.

Tomorrow we head to the Ski Village for the adventure park excursions!
